ABOUT JOHN KANER MUSIC
Composing for film appeals to my own passion for storytelling—and the power and artistry in crafting music to achieve it. I draw my inspiration from such composers and scores as John Williams (Schindler’s List, Star Wars, E.T.), Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Untouchables), Max Steiner (Gone with the Wind), Bernard Herrmann (Psycho, Taxi Driver), Henry Jackman (Captain America) and Alexandre Desplat (The Shape of Water, Grand Budapest Hotel). With their mastery of sound design, melody and orchestration, these artists serve as my daily reminder to take chances and push boundaries.
Score by John Kaner
“Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent”
